2019 Road Trip, Stops #1-7 I've put together a compilation music video of all my stops down the East Coast from Syracuse, NY to Tampa, FL: March 13 to April 6. This has been a FANTASTIC trip so far. The gorgeous weather started with the perfect 50° day that I spent packing up my car to leave Syracuse and it has followed me all the way down the East Coast to Florida. Clear skies, warm weather, and no rain during the day when I want to get out and SEE things. Even now in Florida my grandma keeps commenting on how lovely each day has been with low humidity and constant light breezes to keep the southern heat off. I'm so happy and grateful I was able to stop and visit with so many of my family and friends down the east coast. It was so much fun to see and catch up with everyone - many of whom I had not seen in years! Christmas is my favorite time of year. So of course, I brought the holiday into the classroom as soon as the holiday season rolled in. I set up a Christmas party class, the same as last year, on the days before Christmas for each of my grades. This school year, I have WAY more students than last. So this meant spending my entire Sunday baking 400 cookies and mixing up several sets of colors of icing to decorate them with. I spent hours with my after school class making decorations for fill the classroom with some Christmas spirit. All this work? TOTALLY worth it. I had so much fun, the kids had a blast and all around everyone enjoyed the week.
